The female fire fighter is often called a firefighter, and many women consider themselves firefighters.
The Fire Service Association says it’s a very diverse profession, with more than 2,000 professions.
The association has partnered with a company that specialises in making female firefighters available online for a free trial.
The company, FemaleFire, provides a free online service for women to listen to firefighting songs and songs from other female firefighters.
They can also access a number of other music sites including Spotify, Rdio and Pandora.
“We wanted to give women access to a free service that was made available to them,” company CEO Kate Dolan said.
“There’s a huge number of female firefighters in the world, and that’s really not the case.
They need to be able to find that support and information and help them out in whatever way they need.”
FemaleFire’s service is aimed at the general public, and the company said its aim is to reach and serve women who are fire fighters in their 20s and 30s, as well as those who are in their 40s and 50s.
“If you’re a female firefighter and you want to hear the music of some of the most inspiring female fire fighters out there, then you’ve come to the right place,” Dolan explained.
“That’s really where we want to focus.”
Female Fire has also partnered with the Royal Australian Fire and Emergency Service to help them reach out to female fire chiefs.
FemaleFire CEO Kate Doran said there was a big demand for female firefighting music.
“The thing that we’ve found that is really interesting is there’s a really big gap in the market that women don’t have access to,” she said.
“There are a lot of female firefighters out there who want to find the fire fighters that they want to listen as well, and we think that that’s great.”
As women, we’ve all got our own individual musical tastes.
So we’re just trying to provide a platform for those different voices.
“Dolan said they were hoping to expand their service to include a wider range of music genres and genres of music.
Female Fire also partnered up with the Australian Radio Corporation to help with the launch.
Female firefighters are often called “Firefighter Song of the Year”, and it’s been a long time coming.”
It’s been around for a long, long time,” Dola said.”[But] I think it was a bit of a catalyst for us to do it, because it was such a big thing to have it on our website.
