A wedding venue is often used to perform a traditional dance, but it’s also the place where weddings are celebrated.
According to police, a group of men armed with knives and baseball bats attacked the venue in the town of Bhavnagar in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police officers said the incident took place on Tuesday, February 19, and the attackers were reportedly from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist group.
The attackers had been on the lookout for a wedding for some time and had prepared an elaborate plan for their attack.
The attackers had placed a small car parked outside the venue, which was manned by the venue’s management.
“The attackers, wearing black cloaks and helmets, entered the venue armed with two swords, a baseball bat and knives,” a senior police officer said.
While the venue was being attacked, the venue manager managed to evacuate the people inside, while the remaining people who were inside the venue escaped unhurt.
The attack was not successful and no one was injured in the incident.
The police are looking for the attackers.
